How It Works

No server-side AI. All tools return structured JSON data from your Looper account. Claude reads and interprets the data, so your answers are always grounded in your real performance numbers.

Looper Golf uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard that lets AI assistants securely access external tools and data. When you connect Looper Golf:

Claude authenticates with your Looper account via OAuth 2.1
Your player profile is auto-detected — no IDs to enter
Claude calls the appropriate tools based on your questions
Data is returned in your preferred units (meters or yards)

Read tools return structured data from your account. Write tools (flagged clearly) let Claude take actions on your behalf — creating accounts, logging notes, sending coach messages, and setting goals. Your data stays in your Looper account and is never stored by the MCP server.

Getting Started

Add the MCP server in Claude — paste https://looper-mcp-902947329020.europe-west1.run.app into Claude.ai Settings → Integrations → Add custom connector
Sign in with your Looper credentials when Claude opens the login page
Start asking — Claude has instant access to your shot data, coaching plans, and course strategy

No account yet? Just tell Claude: "Create a Looper Golf account for me." It will use the register_player tool to create your account on the spot — no app download needed. You can add shot data and set up your bag in the same conversation.

Data & Privacy

Your golf data is stored securely in your Looper account. The MCP server acts as a read-only bridge — it queries your data on demand and never caches or stores responses. Authentication uses industry-standard OAuth 2.1 with PKCE.
